Message: We used Mikasa, Leo and his crew for remodeling multiple things at our house on the lake. They redid the long retaining wall by the lake, repaired foundation, remodeled 3 bathrooms, redid a large part of the deck, windows, resurfaced concrete & replaced some windows & screens for us. Leo and his team are extremely professional, excellent follow up. We were very concerned about a long distance job (we live in the Dallas area primarily). Leo and Beto were excellent in taking pictures, communicating on progress and staying mostly on time (some unknown things cropped up and during demo and they had to expand scope and did that for us). The work done is of high quality and looks beautiful. I actually invited Leo before we bought the house to take a look at the repair work and he gave us honest, excellent advice (even came on Saturdays multiple times). We had issues with some of the concrete work that was done by them & Leo made sure that the issues were fixed and we were happy. The price was also fairly competitive. Mikasa definitely have the experience, quality of work and customer focus. Thanks Leo and team! Also, forgot to add that when the freeze happened, we were not at the house. Leo & Beto went to the house very quickly to survey any damage (which had nothing to do with the jobs we had contracted them for). Found the pipe leaks under the house and in the attic, pumped out the water, fixed what was needed. We were so glad!

Message: I hired Mikasa to do several projects for a commercial building I own in downtown Tyler. Projects included sheet rock repair and paint, awning rebuilding, window and trim replacement and full exterior paint.. After a bad experience with a prior contractor, Mikasa came out to do a bid for me, and I was impressed by the attention to detail in pointing out things the previous contractor didn’t. The owner, Leo followed up with me in a timely manner and gave me some money saving options, which I appreciated.. His crew was punctual, and spent a great deal of time making sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Leo also followed up with me to make sure everything met my expectations several times throughout the project. I was really happy with the overall experience and professionalism of Leo and Mikasa Construction, and my building looks wonderful!

Message: If you're looking for a general contractor that listens, pays strict attention to detail, is clean on the site and really cares about your project, then do not look any further than Mikasa Construction. My husband and I got bids from 4 different contractors for a room addition on our home and we had an easy time selecting Mikasa. Leo showed up with his fantastic assistant, Maria, and listened carefully to what we wanted. Since my husband was about to go to work out of town for 90 days we needed a contractor that we could depend on to not cause me stress or problems. From day one the project went smoothly and was a very pleasant experience. Leo's team (thank you Beto! ) worked diligently and thoughtfully throughout the entire timeline and I always knew what was happening. Maria would come and check on the progress and call to be sure I knew when they'd be arriving in the morning and ask any questions they had. Leo would also contact me to check in on my satisfaction with the work--it was fantastic! We love our addition and we have already referred many people to Mikasa for their home projects. Message: We had damage that was done to our home during the last winter storm and looked for a reputable contractor to help with the restoration of our home. We called several companies and some even came to get measurements to get us a quote. Unfortunately, none of those companies came through with a quote with the exception of Mikasa Construction. They came out and by the end of the week we had an estimate to send to our insurance company. From start to finish they kept good communication and worked to get our home in better shape than it was prior to the damage. The owner and his staff were more than polite and professional which made the restoration process easier, even through the minor hiccups that were out of their control. I highly recommend them and will call them again for future projects! In addition, they are bilingual. Thank you for a job well done!

Message: Last year, I experienced what my insurance adjuster bluntly referred to as a “water event. ” The damage was severe enough that I was forced to pack up two lifetimes’ worth of possessions, empty the first floor of my house, and move out for three months while the repairs were effected. Finding a reliable and trustworthy contractor can be a nightmare, especially if you live in a rural area. Fortunately, I discovered Leo and Mikasa Construction.. What was probably a relatively small job for Mikasa was a major undertaking in my experience. The repairs included removing all the damaged sheet rock, plus the cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchen, and installing new flooring, baseboards, doors and door trim, new lighting, new cabinets and granite counter tops, bathroom fixtures, wallpaper and paint, even removal of the awful 1980’s popcorn ceiling.. Leo guided me every step of the way, helping me make choices and decisions, and teaching me enough about what was being done that I felt I had chosen the best option for each part of the project.. Leo, in my opinion, is a rarity in today’s business world, an honest and principled man. His wide knowledge is readily apparent, and he and his craftsmen are all both talented and conscientious. On every project, Leo wants to do the very best job, because he’s very proud of Mikasa and the reputation they’ve achieved. His goal when each job is complete is for his customers to be completely satisfied with the work Mikasa has done.. I feel as though Leo and Mikasa have taken a disaster and given me a completely new home. If you give them the opportunity to do as much for you, you’ll be glad you did.
